Mould / Die Design
We design the mould or die that makes your part, from your part model and the process you plan to use. We calculate shrinkage allowance, check draft angles and review the part for manufacturability. You receive the parametric mould design, drawings with GD&T annotations and a DFM recommendations document your toolmaker can work from. Two revision rounds are included.
Who it is for: Product companies and manufacturers who have a finished part design and need tooling designed before ordering a mold.
What's included
- ✓3D CAD design of the mould or die
- ✓Shrinkage allowance calculation
- ✓Draft angle analysis
- ✓Manufacturability review
- ✓Final engineering drawings
- ✓Two revision rounds
What you receive
- →Parametric CAD file (STEP and IGES)
- →Technical drawings with GD&T annotations
- →Shrinkage and draft angle report
- →DFM recommendations document
Not included
- ·Building the physical tooling or prototypes

About this service
Can you design for any plastic or metal?
Tell us the material and expected volume. The shrinkage allowance depends on the material grade, and we ask for the supplier datasheet if available.
Will my toolmaker be able to build from this?
The design is delivered in STEP with drawings, which toolmakers accept. They may ask for small adjustments for their own machines and standards.
